Our Story
At Tarjani Couture, we truly believe that clothes look beautiful on you when they resonate with your inner-self, explaining our tagline - 'Live your design'. Heena Shah, an artist at the core, is a qualified Fashion Designer apart from being an accomplished Bharat Nattyam dancer and teacher. She first started her designing journey in 2005 as a mother who loved to dress up her baby daughter, to designing for friends and family, to eventually establishing and growing the business to what it is today.

Our Founder Speaks
"My designing journey started as a mother, who loved to dress up her baby daughter. It’s been 15 years and she is still my favorite client! Along the way I started designing for friends and family, eventually realizing that this is my calling and something I want to build into a business. Having learnt fashion designing from SNDT college, I initially took up designing and manufacturing of kids garments for WestSide, and I soon realized that mass production was not my forte. For me, designing is never just about making an outfit, there is so much more to it!
I honestly believe every woman has a designer in them and no one knows her better than they themselves!"
Our Process
The journey to 'Live Your Design' starts with us understanding our client as an individual - her body type, colour preferences and style comfort. It is also important to ensure that the dress would live up to the requirement of the occasion - wedding, party, festival, office, evening wear or just casual wear. It's then that the designing starts and the outfit is sketched giving a perspective of how it will look. The fabric, colour, cut and style is then finalised to fit a clients budget. As the cloth makes its journey to become a client’s dress, we check for quality at every stage - whether it's dyeing, embroidery, hand work, cutting, stitching or finishing. Finally, the client is called for a trial to check the fitting and immediate alterations are made to ensure a perfect fit before we handover the outfit.
